Doug Samuel is the founder of SR&ED Clinic and primary service provider. After working at some of the largest SR&ED providers in the country, he realized that a more client-centered approach would lead to better results.

Doug has been practicing SR&ED since 2011, servicing small and medium-sized businesses across a wide range of technologies including software, electronics, mechanical, manufacturing, petroleum services, energy generation and storage, life sciences, and others.

Doug has a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University and spent many years designing and building hardware and software. He later ran a successful technical writing and illustrating company. This was the perfect background for conducting the technical side of SR&ED filings. He has since been exposed to the technical and financial sides of SR&ED.

After many years practicing in the SR&ED business, including nearly 2 years defending audits of SR&ED claims written by others, Doug is a solid SR&ED expert.
